Can I save an auction listing as I create it?

 Yes you can, as you go through the steps to sell an auction you can press the Save Listing button on the top right hand corner of the page at anytime.  When you press this button simply enter in a title for your listing and press Save.  You will then be redirected to the Incomplete Listings page.  You can continue with your listing at anytime by clicking Incomplete Listings under Selling on your dashboard. Select the listing you would like to complete and click  Complete Now. This will take you back to the auction detailspage where you can now complete your listing . (Note: Once your listing has been completed the item will no longer appear in the incomplete listings page).


What is a Classified Ad?

A classified ad is an ad that allows the buyer to make a purchase by contacting the seller directly. No bidding is a involved. Placing a classified ad is a quick and simple way to make a sale.

How do I change my password?

Here's how to change your password:

  1. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  2. Click the My Account tab.
  3. Click Change Password on the left hand side of the page.
  4. Enter your current password and your new password in the spaces provided. You will have to type your new password a second time to confirm it.
  5. Click Change.

How can I find a MrBuyGuy member?

To find a member (Shopaholic), use MrBuyGuy’s Advanced Search function.

Click on the down arrow next to the magnifying glass, and then click on A MrBuyGuy Shopaholic.

You will then be able to search for a particular Shopaholic.

How can I protect myself from phishing attacks?

To protect yourself from phishing attacks, never open suspicious emails, especially ones asking for personal information like a username, password or credit card details.

MrBuyGuy uses sophisticated systems to keep your personal details safe. We will never send you an email asking for your personal information or phone you and ask for personal details. Be careful if anyone emails you or calls you and says they work for MrBuyGuy.

The MrBuyGuy Administrator is the only person at who will send you messages.

Booking Your Room

Once you've decided on a hotel, you'll have to book your room.

Underneath the name of the hotel, in the list of hotels, you'll see a list of travel sites you can book from and how much they will charge.

Clicking on Book Now will bring up a popup box listing all the travel sites along with their prices for your room. Clicking on Go next to the name of one of the sites will take you to that site. You can then book your room.

You can also book a room via the hotel page. After you've found the hotel you want in the list of hotels, click on the hotel name, the large photo next to the name or View all rooms. You'll be taken to a page describing the hotel in more detail.

The hotel page will have a list that shows each room that is available during the time you wish to book, how much it costs and the travel website you can use to book it. Click Go next to any of the rooms. You'll be taken to the travel site of your choice, and you can then book your room.

How does MrBuyGuy calculate my positive feedback percentage?

 MrBuyGuy calculates your positive feedback percentage by looking at all of your feedback from transactions over the last 12 months. If the same member gives you the same feedback multiple times, it is counted only once.

Dividing the number of positive feedback ratings by the total number of feedback ratings gives your positive feedback percentage.

For example, suppose you have 100 positive ratings, 4 neutal ratings and one negative rating.

Your positive feedback percentage is:

100 ÷ 100+4+1 or  95.2%.

How do I change my username?

Here's how to change your username:

  1. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  2. Click the My Account tab.
  3. Click Change Username on the left hand side of the page.
  4. Enter a new username.
  5. Click Change.

You can change your username every 90 days.

Your profile page will show all of your previous usernames, so other users can see them.

I've paid for my item but it isn't appearing as paid. What happened?

If you're paying via PayPal, your payment status should update automatically.

However, if you're paying by another method, for example, by cheque or by bank transfer, there will not be an automatic update of your payment status. You can ask your bank to provide proof of payment.

You can manually mark an item as paid for your records and to show the seller that you've paid:

Click Won Auctions under My Account at the top of the page..

Select the item you've won.

Click on the down arrow next to the Pay Now button.

Select Mark Payment as Sent.

As long as the seller agrees that that the item was paid for, everything is fine.
