Once you've sorted the hotels so your favourites are at the top of the list, it's time to make your choice.

You will be able to see

  1. The name of each hotel
  2. Where it's located. Clicking on Show map will bring up a map for you.
  3. Its rating by reviewers
  4. The number of people who reviewed it
  5. A list of rooms available at different travel websites and their prices. You can change the form of currency by clicking on the dropdown box at the top of the page.

If you're already satisfied with that hotel and are sure you want to book a room there, you can click Book Now to start booking a room.

If you're not entirely sure, either click the hotel name, the large photo next to the name or View all rooms and you'll be taken to a page that describes the hotel in more detail and shows all the rooms that will be available during the time you want to book.

You can either book a room by clicking Go next to the room you desire or click on Back to search results at the bottom of the page to continue comparing.

How can I work with Search to help me find the items I want?

 You can alter the amount of information about each item and choose as to how your search results are sorted  by clicking Customize View at the top of the results page.

Things you can do:                             

·         Select the columns you want to display and change their order

·         Show more information about each item, including item number and location.

·        Show more seller on view more seller information, including the seller’s User ID and Feedback ranking.

·         Choose how your items are sorted.

Click Apply Changes button once you made your changes in order to apply your preferences each time you log in.

What should I do if my account shows an unpaid item?

 To avoid suspension or restriction of your account, it is important to make timely payments and keep unpaid items from being recorded on your account. You must send payment to the seller within 4 days, once an unpaid item case is opened.

 

Using your watchlist

If you're thinking of buying a product, but you haven't made your final decision, you can place it on your Watchlist.

This will save you time if you decide to purchase it later on.

From the product page, click on Watch this item.

The product will then appear in your Watchlist.

You can find your Watchlist by clicking on My Account at the top of any page.

Click on the dropdown icon next to Buying on the left hand side of the page.

Then click on My Watchlist.

You'll be able to see all the products you are watching.

Later on, if you decide to buy the product, you can click on it in your Watchlist. You'll be taken right to the product page, where you can make a purchase.  There's no need to search for the item again.

Narrowing your search

Mr Buy Guy lets you sort hotels by recommendation, number of stars, distance from a specific city, price and guest rating.

You can refine your search, filtering by star rating, price or place. You can limit your search to hotels whose names contain a specific word or phrase.

If you are searching by price, you can change the currency by clicking the dropdown at the top of the page.

What is my dashboard, and how do I use it?

Your dashboard is a web page that provides you with a quick way to manage everything that is going on with your account.

When you log in to MrBuyGuy, you’ll be taken directly to your dashboard.

If you’re already logged in, you can get to your dashboard from any page on the site, by clicking on the words My Account at the top of the page.

From your dashboard, you can

  • See if you have any outstanding tasks
  • Check and edit your account details
  • Edit your profile
  • Read your  messages
  • View your sales statistics
  • View your recent feedback

On the right side of your dashboard, you’ll see counts of

  • Unread messages
  • Live listings
  • Listings in the last 2 months
  • Items sold in the last 2 months
  • Items won in the last two months

Below these counts, you’ll find direct links to

  • View your account summary
  • Edit your profile
  • Change your plan
  • Update your address
  • Change your Username
  • Change your Security Question

How do I complete the auction process once I have won an item?

MrBuyGuy has a comprehensive auction managment system once you have won an auction.  When you win an auction either by been the highest bidder on an auction or by using the instant buy option, MrBuyGuy will send you an email.This email will congragulate you on your win and ask you to click on a link.  This link will take you to the auction management area.  Alternatively you can also find this link by logging into your MrBuyGuy account clicking on My Account on the top header of the website, clicking on the buying tab on the left hand side and clicking on won auctions.  Then under the selected auction click on the choose link and press the manage option

There are several steps to complete when managing your won item.  The first is to confirm the address that you would like the item to be shipped to.  Your default address will be displayed initially however if you would like to you can choose other addresses that you have saved.  Once you have selected your address you can then choose the shipping method for your item.  Depending on the location of the seller and the sellers shipping options selected for the item, different shipping methods will be displayed. For example,  if your purchasing an item in the same country as the seller you may be given a list of different shipping options to select from.  Alternatively if the seller has offered free shipping you will not be charged for the shipping. 

If you are buying an item from a different country you will be prompted to contact the seller in order to receive a shipping cost based on your shipping location. Once the shipping cost has been confirmed you can then select the payment method you would like to use to pay for the item,  again it will depend on the sellers selected payment methods for what payment options will be available.  For example, if the seller selects Paypal as a payment method you will be able to automatically go to Paypal and pay for the item.  Once the item has been payed for, the seller will be notified that the item is ready for shipping.  Alternatively you can pay through direct deposit,  in this case you will be presented with the sellers bank account details and will be able to pay through internet banking or at the banks local branch. 

Once you have payed through this method you can let the seller know and they can look out for the payment at their end.  Once the seller has shipped the item they will send a confirmation to MrBuyGuy and you will receive an email with this confirmation as well as any track and trace details for the item.  When you recieve the item you can go back to the manage auction section and confirm you have recieved the item.  At this point you will also be prompted to place feedback on the item.  MrBuyGuy highly recommends that you place feedback for every auction you participate in because it helps make the auction community a safer environment.

Requesting a Price Alert

If you like a product you've found on MrBuyGuy.com, but you aren't completely satisfied with the price, you can request a Price Alert.

From the Product page, click on Price Alert.

You'll be asked if you want to receive an email when the product's price changes.

If you click Yes, MrBuyGuy will notify you, via email, when the price has changed.

You can purchase the product when the price is right for you.

Note: To receive Price Alerts, you must be a registered member of MrBuyGuy.com.

I think someone has stolen my account information. What do I do?

If you think someone has stolen your MrBuyGuy.com account information, change your password immediately.

MrBuyGuy recommends you change your password every ten days.
