Can I change my feedback?

You can't change your feedback once you've submitted it. However, you can reply to feedback and, if you're unhappy with feedback you've received, you can submit a reconsideration request.

Sorting products

The best way to start comparing is to sort the products on the page by the criterion that is most important to you.

You can do this via the drop-down box on the top right of the page, just above the product listings.

MrBuyGuy gives you a number of different ways to sort your items:

1.  By the name of the product

2.  By product rating, with featured products on top

3.  By how recently products were added, with the latest products on top

4.  By price, from lowest to highest or from highest to lowest.

How do I change the email address where my newsletters are sent?

You can change the email address where you receive newsletters and other notifications in a few simple steps:

  1. Log in to MrBuyGuy.com.
  2. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  3. Click the My Account tab.
  4. Click Subscriptions on the left hand side of the page.
  5. Type in your new email address in the box under Your Seller & Buyer email notifications.
  6. Click Change.

What is my dashboard, and how do I use it?

Your dashboard is a web page that provides you with a quick way to manage everything that is going on with your account.

When you log in to MrBuyGuy, you’ll be taken directly to your dashboard.

If you’re already logged in, you can get to your dashboard from any page on the site, by clicking on the words My Account at the top of the page.

From your dashboard, you can

  • See if you have any outstanding tasks
  • Check and edit your account details
  • Edit your profile
  • Read your  messages
  • View your sales statistics
  • View your recent feedback

On the right side of your dashboard, you’ll see counts of

  • Unread messages
  • Live listings
  • Listings in the last 2 months
  • Items sold in the last 2 months
  • Items won in the last two months

Below these counts, you’ll find direct links to

  • View your account summary
  • Edit your profile
  • Change your plan
  • Update your address
  • Change your Username
  • Change your Security Question

I forgot my password. What do I do?

If you don't remember your password, you can ask MrBuyGuy to reset it for you. Follow these simple steps:

  • At the login page,click I forgot my details. This will take you to a page where you can reset your password.
  • In the Email Address box enter the email address you provided when you registered with MrBuyGuy.
  • Click Reset.
  • Check your email inbox for an email fromMrBuyGuy telling you how to reset your password.
  • Follow the instructions in the email.

If you've changed your email address, or you can't supply additional information needed to confirm your identity, please contact us.

How do I place a Wanted ad?

The process for placing a Wanted ad is similar to that for placing an auction listing or a Classified ad.

Click List Wanted Ad underneath List Item at the top of the page.

You will be taken to a listings page.

Then either fill in the item’s UPC / EAN or ISBN, if you know it, or select the item’s category.

Click Save and Continue.

When prompted to choose your listing type, select Wanted Ad.

Click Save and Continue, and then follow the prompts.

Can I create multiple accounts?

Yes. You can create multiple accounts on MrBuyGuy.com, as long as you use a different username and email address for each account.

Which payment method should I use, and how should I pay?

 It's up to the seller to decide which payment method to accept. The seller's chosen payment method will appear in the item description.  The seller may allow you a choice of more than one payment method.  To decide which one is best for you, see Choosing a Payment Method.

Whichever method you choose, you can pay for your item by

1.  Clicking the Pay Now button in the listing.

2. Making sure your shipping address is correct, then confirming your shipping and payment methods.

3. Once you are sure all the information is accurate, clicking Confirm and Proceed.

I have paid for an item but have not received it. What should I do?

 If you have paid for an item but you have not received it, or if you have not heard from the seller since paying for the item,  your first course of action should be to contact the seller.  Bear in mind that on weekends and on public holidays sellers might not be working.  Give the seller sufficient time to get back to you. 

If you fail to hear back from the seller after a reasonable length of time, your next course of action is to use MrBuyGuy Buyer Protection.

To do this, select Dispute under the Choose option next to your won auction.  This will take you to the Dispute section where you can enter in the details of the dispute you would like to submit.  Once you have completed and submitted your information, the seller will be notified and a formal dispute wlll be placed  against them.  The seller will then be prompted to reply to the dispute. 

Tthe buyer and seller should work together to solve the problem. 

If the seller does not reply, MrBuyGuy will intervene and try to contact the seller for you.  In some cases, we will suspend the seller and pass details on to law enforcements to bring legal action against sellers who are committing fraud.

How can I see the price of an item that has already been sold?

You can search for Completed Listings. These are listings that have ended within the last 15 days, whether or not the item sold.

To search for completed listings:

1.    Click Advanced Search.

2.     Enter two or three words that describe the item in the Enter keywords or item number field.

3.     Select Completed Listings in the Search Including section.

4.       Click Search.
