I want to find items sold by a particular seller. What should I do?

 If you wish to search for items which are currently being sold by a particular seller or you want to display the sellers entire past sales then by knowing seller’s user ID, you can do so easily.


To search for items by seller:

1.     Click Advanced Search

2.     Click Items by Seller.

3.     Enter the seller’s user ID. If you don't know what it is,hen select Show close and exact user ID matches.

4.     Click Search.

How do I complete the auction process once I have won an item?

MrBuyGuy has a comprehensive auction managment system once you have won an auction.  When you win an auction either by been the highest bidder on an auction or by using the instant buy option, MrBuyGuy will send you an email.This email will congragulate you on your win and ask you to click on a link.  This link will take you to the auction management area.  Alternatively you can also find this link by logging into your MrBuyGuy account clicking on My Account on the top header of the website, clicking on the buying tab on the left hand side and clicking on won auctions.  Then under the selected auction click on the choose link and press the manage option

There are several steps to complete when managing your won item.  The first is to confirm the address that you would like the item to be shipped to.  Your default address will be displayed initially however if you would like to you can choose other addresses that you have saved.  Once you have selected your address you can then choose the shipping method for your item.  Depending on the location of the seller and the sellers shipping options selected for the item, different shipping methods will be displayed. For example,  if your purchasing an item in the same country as the seller you may be given a list of different shipping options to select from.  Alternatively if the seller has offered free shipping you will not be charged for the shipping. 

If you are buying an item from a different country you will be prompted to contact the seller in order to receive a shipping cost based on your shipping location. Once the shipping cost has been confirmed you can then select the payment method you would like to use to pay for the item,  again it will depend on the sellers selected payment methods for what payment options will be available.  For example, if the seller selects Paypal as a payment method you will be able to automatically go to Paypal and pay for the item.  Once the item has been payed for, the seller will be notified that the item is ready for shipping.  Alternatively you can pay through direct deposit,  in this case you will be presented with the sellers bank account details and will be able to pay through internet banking or at the banks local branch. 

Once you have payed through this method you can let the seller know and they can look out for the payment at their end.  Once the seller has shipped the item they will send a confirmation to MrBuyGuy and you will receive an email with this confirmation as well as any track and trace details for the item.  When you recieve the item you can go back to the manage auction section and confirm you have recieved the item.  At this point you will also be prompted to place feedback on the item.  MrBuyGuy highly recommends that you place feedback for every auction you participate in because it helps make the auction community a safer environment.

What are My Tasks and My To Do List?

When you visit your Dashboard, you will see a button that says My Tasks. It will show you the number of outstanding tasks you should resolve.

Clicking on the My Tasks button will bring up a list of outstanding tasks.

These can include:

  • Checking any new messages
  • Making sure sold listings have been shipped and paid for
  • Making sure you’ve relisted items within a 7 day period
  • Answering any disputes
  • Placing feedback
  • Adding your name to your profile
  • Adding an image to your profile
  • Adding information about you or about your interests to your profile
  • Posting in the forum
  • Posting feedback
  • Bidding, winning, making an offer or using an enquiry form
  • Subscribing to the MrBuyGuy newsletter
  • Uploading a video to the help section
  • Creating at least two listings

Your To Do List, also on your dashboard, shows how many issues you have resolved, and how many are still open.

Making your purchase

Once you've decided what product you want to buy and which retailer you want to buy it from, it's time to make your purchase.

From the Product page, find the retailer you've chosen.

Click on Visit Store. You'll be taken to the Product page on that retailer's website.

From there, follow the retailer's directions for making a purchase.

How do I change the email address where my newsletters are sent?

You can change the email address where you receive newsletters and other notifications in a few simple steps:

  1. Log in to MrBuyGuy.com.
  2. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  3. Click the My Account tab.
  4. Click Subscriptions on the left hand side of the page.
  5. Type in your new email address in the box under Your Seller & Buyer email notifications.
  6. Click Change.

How can I find a MrBuyGuy store?

To find a store, use MrBuyGuy’s Advanced Search function.

Click on the down arrow next to the magnifying glass, and then click on A MrBuyGuy Store.

You will then be able to search for a particular Store.

What should I do if my account shows an unpaid item?

 To avoid suspension or restriction of your account, it is important to make timely payments and keep unpaid items from being recorded on your account. You must send payment to the seller within 4 days, once an unpaid item case is opened.

 

I have paid for an item but have not received it. What should I do?

 If you have paid for an item but you have not received it, or if you have not heard from the seller since paying for the item,  your first course of action should be to contact the seller.  Bear in mind that on weekends and on public holidays sellers might not be working.  Give the seller sufficient time to get back to you. 

If you fail to hear back from the seller after a reasonable length of time, your next course of action is to use MrBuyGuy Buyer Protection.

To do this, select Dispute under the Choose option next to your won auction.  This will take you to the Dispute section where you can enter in the details of the dispute you would like to submit.  Once you have completed and submitted your information, the seller will be notified and a formal dispute wlll be placed  against them.  The seller will then be prompted to reply to the dispute. 

Tthe buyer and seller should work together to solve the problem. 

If the seller does not reply, MrBuyGuy will intervene and try to contact the seller for you.  In some cases, we will suspend the seller and pass details on to law enforcements to bring legal action against sellers who are committing fraud.

I've won an item. How much do I need to pay?

MrBuyGuy will calculate your payment details for you.

To find out the cost of an item you've won, log on to MrBuyGuy. Click on My Account at the top of the page, then click on Won Auctions.

 

Find the item you want to pay for, then click on Pay Now. You'll see the total cost of the item and your payment options.

How do I update my address?

Follow these simple steps to update your address:

  1. Log in to MrBuyGuy.com.
  2. Click on My Account at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the My Account tab.
  4. Click on Your Saved Addresses on the left hand side of the page.
  5. This will bring up a page with your current addresses. From here, you can edit or delete an existing address or add a new address.
