How can I locate the items I want to buy?

 You can easily locate items on MrBuyGuy either by searching or browsing. Depending on what you are looking for, each process has its advantages.

a) Searching

Enter two or thre words describing the items in the Search text box located. Once you click the Search button, you will receive search results that match those words. The Searching option also allows you to narrow your search in many ways by offering advanced options and commands.

b) Browsing

You can keep on browsing until you come across something that might interest you. If you're not certain about what you want to purchase, you can scroll through the items.

How can I protect myself from phishing attacks?

To protect yourself from phishing attacks, never open suspicious emails, especially ones asking for personal information like a username, password or credit card details.

MrBuyGuy uses sophisticated systems to keep your personal details safe. We will never send you an email asking for your personal information or phone you and ask for personal details. Be careful if anyone emails you or calls you and says they work for MrBuyGuy.

The MrBuyGuy Administrator is the only person at MrBuyGuy.com who will send you messages.

I want to find items sold by a particular seller. What should I do?

 If you wish to search for items which are currently being sold by a particular seller or you want to display the sellers entire past sales then by knowing seller’s user ID, you can do so easily.


To search for items by seller:

1.     Click Advanced Search

2.     Click Items by Seller.

3.     Enter the seller’s user ID. If you don't know what it is,hen select Show close and exact user ID matches.

4.     Click Search.

How does MrBuyGuy Buyer Protection work?

MrBuyGuy Buyer Protection allows buyers and sellers to dispute the outcomes of the auctions.  For example, if you are the buyer, and the seller fails to deliver the goods, you can place a dispute, which will act as a forum between the buyer and the seller.  MrBuyGuy generally stays out of disputes but will use the dispute centre as evidence when deciding whether to take action  on a member.  When you submit a dispute,  the other party will be notified and asked to respond. For example , if the seller does not send an item, the seller will be notified and asked why the item has not been sent.  If fhe seller repeatedly fails to send items purchased, MrBuyGuy will suspend the seller. 

MrBuyGuy Buyer Protection is designed to help buyers and sellers solve any problems they might have in a small number of steps.  Buyers and sellers the option to contact MrBuyGuy.   If a resolution cannot be made between buyer and seller, MrBuyGuy will takes an active role to ensure the dispute is resolved.

 

How do I change my username?

Here's how to change your username:

  1. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  2. Click the My Account tab.
  3. Click Change Username on the left hand side of the page.
  4. Enter a new username.
  5. Click Change.

You can change your username every 90 days.

Your profile page will show all of your previous usernames, so other users can see them.

What is a Wanted ad?

A Wanted ad is a way to find an item you want without doing any searching. When you place a Wanted ad, other users of MrBuyGuy.com will see it. If one of them has the item you’re looking for, they’ll contact you and the two of you can arrange a sale. Placing a Wanted ad makes shopping simple and hassle-free.

Can I sell my items internationally?

 Yes, you can. However, you will have to meet the requirements for listings in each country. Also, with each country the laws of the land change and you will have to comply with the rules of that country.

What should I do if my account shows an unpaid item?

 To avoid suspension or restriction of your account, it is important to make timely payments and keep unpaid items from being recorded on your account. You must send payment to the seller within 4 days, once an unpaid item case is opened.

 

How do I change the email address where my newsletters are sent?

You can change the email address where you receive newsletters and other notifications in a few simple steps:

  1. Log in to MrBuyGuy.com.
  2. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  3. Click the My Account tab.
  4. Click Subscriptions on the left hand side of the page.
  5. Type in your new email address in the box under Your Seller & Buyer email notifications.
  6. Click Change.
